The mission of Lions Opportunities for Youth is: to provide the young people of the world with opportunities for achievement, learning, contribution and service, individually and collectively, through sponsorship of activities identified as best practices in the field of youth development. Lions District 201 Q3 is committed to ensuring young people are given every opportunity to succeed and our belief in the Lions Opportunity for Youth has been our motivation behind the establishment of Lions Youth Emergency Accommodation Centre (LYEAC).
Located in Southern Queensland, District Q3 stretches from the rainforests and golden beaches of the Sunshine Coast in the east to the arid deserts of Cunnamulla and Quilpie in the west. Boundaried to the south by the Brisbane River, and north by Taroom in the Central Queensland Highlands, Q3 is one of the most geographically and socially diverse districts in Australia.
However, at LYEACs heart is the boundless energy and drive of Q 3 Zone 11, a cluster of Lions Clubs and suburban communities positioned to Brisbanes immediate north. Consisting of six clubs: Petrie, Pine Rivers, Albany Creek, Dayboro, Kallangur and Narangba, over one hundred and fifty dedicated Lions ensure that LYEAC, year to year, meets its ambitious goals and objectives.
