We believe our work is to provide the young people of Queensland with opportunities for achievement, learning, contribution and service, individually and collectively, through sponsorship of a variety of activities identified as best practices in the field of youth development.

To achieve this objective our organisation recognises the value of partnerships and the significance that support from external organisations, businesses, government departments and private citizen's offer.

WHERE DOES THE MONEY GO?

Perceptions of where a charity's money goes, and how it is spent is an important and significant issue to many donors. LYEAC is all too aware of this, and feels that it is both a financial and moral responsibility to ensure that money goes to where it should.

Whilst a charity cannot exist without sound administrative systems and support, it is imperative to recognise that costs should be kept as low as possible to ensure that the maximum amount of money goes to where it should be the cause for which the charity operates. To this end, LYEAC's administration and management deliberately consists solely of a committee of dedicated volunteer Lion members of Lions District 201 Q3.

LYEAC is thus dedicated to ensuring that our administrative costs are kept as low as possible, and that the maximum percentage of our income goes toward our LYEAC initiatives.

OUR POSITION

LYEAC endeavours to create and abide by a strong culture of compliance in regard to all our financial responsibilities and requirements. We enlist the services of independent auditors and abide by the guidelines and recommendations endorsed by the Australian Taxation Office.
